Jane Asher was born on April 5th, 1946, in London, England, to Richard and Margaret Asher. Jane was the Asher’s second child, but was their first daughter. Jane has a brother named Peter, who is two years older than her and a younger sister named Claire. All three of the Asher kids have red tinted hair. Growing up, Jane attended school at Attended Miss Lambert's Academy for Young Ladies and Queen’s College, a discreet private girls' school, which wasn’t too far from her house. Jane started her acting career at the early age of five in the movie entitled Mandy, in which she played a deaf girl. Jane knew she had a passion for acting when her parents took her brother, her sister, and she to a theatrical agency, thinking it would be fun for the kids to learn acting skills. After Mandy, Jane got acting parts in numerous movies and TV shows. At the age of twelve, she made her theatrical stage debut in Alice in Wonderland at the Oxford Playhouse. She ended up getting the lead role as Alice. She also did a few other theatrical acts such as West End a stage performance of Peter Pan. Jane got the role of playing Wendy, making her the youngest to have ever played the role of Wendy.

On April 18th, 1963, Tony Aspler, a news reporter for the BBC program journal, Radio Times, had to do an interview at the big concert in Albert Hall. Due to he was inexperience in pop music and saw Jane on Juke Box Jury, a BBC show where they had to judge if the new music was ‘Hot’ or ‘Not’, he asked Jane if she would like to come along with him. Jane accepted the invitation and posed for photos screaming in the audience. When The Beatles came out playing their first number, she was instantly impressed and wanted to meet them. Tony and her went back to their dressing room to meet The Beatles. They were impressed with how well-educated and sophisticated she was and they asked her if she would like to go with them to their hotel. Jane instantly accepted the invitation and later the Beatles (except for Ringo, he stayed back at the hotel) and a few of their friends, Chris Hutchins and Shane Fenton, along with Jane, went to Hutchins’ flat, which they drank Irish whiskey and began flirty with Miss Asher. Although, Jane knew they were pretty much drunk, she was overwhelmed by the affection by the guys.

It first seemed like George Harrison was the Beatle who was the most attracted to the beautiful redhead, but soon it became apparent that Paul McCartney had fallen for Miss Asher. As the other guys took notice of Paul’s interest in Jane, the other guys decided to leave the two alone in Hutchins’ bedroom. When they returned back to the room, they were shocked to see Paul and Jane discussing their likes and dislikes. Later that night, the guys drove Jane back to her house and before Jane got out of the car, Paul asked her for her phone number.
